Personalised Family & Pet Portrait Mug – Cartoon Photo Gift

Bring your favourite people and pets together on a personalised portrait mug. Your photo becomes a cheerful cartoon-style illustration, paired with a watercolour stripe background and your own message on the reverse. It is a family keepsake made for everyday coffee breaks, not just a photo printed straight onto a cup.

Looking for a personalised gift for a couple who adore their dog, a cat mum’s birthday present or a Christmas gift for a pet-loving family? This custom family and pet portrait mug celebrates the faces that make their home feel like home.

One mug, printed on both sides. The two mugs in the example show the front and back of one design; this listing is not a two-mug set. Example portraits and wording are for inspiration.

Your photo, your portrait, your words

• A cartoon-style portrait created from your supplied photo, featuring your chosen people and pets.
• Your own short message on the back, such as “A little fur, a lot of love” or “My kind of happy”.
• A choice of eight watercolour stripe backgrounds.
• A design preview emailed to you for approval before printing.

This is a stylised portrait rather than a photographic reproduction. Please check faces, pet markings, wording and placement in your preview. If you would like us to combine separate photos or arrange a larger group, contact us before ordering to confirm the layout.

Choose your stripe background

Choose Pink, Red, Green, Sage Green, Beige, Yellow, Purple or Blue using the stripe colour guide. This is the printed background behind your portrait and message, separate from the mug’s handle and interior colour.

A personal gift for couples, families and pet lovers

A portrait of a couple with their dog or cat makes a thoughtful anniversary gift, while a family photo can become a Christmas keepsake for Mum, Dad or grandparents. For a dog mum, dog dad or cat lover, a familiar face beside their furry companion adds a personal touch to a birthday, Mother’s Day or Father’s Day gift.

Choose the message to match the person and occasion: a shared saying, a family nickname or a few words that capture life with their pet. Browse more gifts for pet owners or explore our personalised mugs.

How to order your custom portrait mug

1. Choose your 11 oz mug colour and watercolour stripe background.
2. Enter the exact message for the back and any portrait instructions. If you do not want a message, write “No message”.
3. After ordering, email your clear original photo and order number to hi@justamazinggift.com.au. Tell us which people and pets to include. Photos are currently collected by email, not uploaded on this page.
4. We will email a design preview. Check the portrait, spelling, message and colours, then reply with your approval or any corrections before printing.

Choosing a photo

Use a well-lit original photo with each face and your pets’ markings clearly visible. Avoid screenshots, heavy filters or cropped faces. Only send photos you own or have permission to use. We may ask for a clearer image if important details are difficult to see.

Design preview and production time

Your design preview is included. Production takes 2–8 business days after you approve the design; delivery time is additional. Please check your inbox and junk folder. For a birthday, anniversary or Christmas deadline, contact us before ordering to check timing. Arrival by a particular date is not guaranteed.

Mug colours, size and care

• White mug dimensions: approximately 9.5 cm high × 8.0 cm in diameter.
• Black, Red, Blue and Pink accent mug dimensions: approximately 9.7 cm high × 8.2 cm in diameter.

Colours may appear slightly different on screen and on the finished mug. This is a physical mug, not a digital portrait download.

Can my portrait include both people and pets?

Yes. This design is for people and their pets together, including dogs and cats. Please identify everyone you want included when emailing your photo. For a large group or a special composition, contact us before ordering.

Can I change the wording on the back?

Yes. Enter your own short message in the personalisation field, or write “No message”. We will show the wording and layout in your emailed preview before printing.

Are the stripe colour and mug colour the same option?

No. Mug colour selects the handle and interior, or the all-white mug. Stripe background colour selects the watercolour pattern printed behind the artwork. For example, you can choose a Black mug with Purple stripes.
